Pratt County is accepting applications for an Emergency Management Coordinator/Zoning Administrator. This position is responsible for all aspects of the local emergency management office as well as the Zoning department. The candidate must have the ability to understand and work with state / federal regulations pertaining to emergency preparedness, have a high degree of computing skills, have the ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with a wide range of personnel, be self-motivated to independently complete plans and projects, and understand the use of radio equipment. This is a full-time position and requires working a variety of hours and being exposed to all types of weather conditions. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, pass a background check, drug test and be able to obtain, within 24 months of appointment, certification as an emergency manager and floodplain manager.
