Award Nomination - Emergency Management Professional of the YearPurpose: To recognize an exceptional emergency management professional who has demonstrated a sustained commitment to excellence in public service, leadership, and community resilience. Eligibility: Nominees must be current KEMA member in good standing.Criteria for Consideration: Nominees should demonstrate excellence in one or more of the following areas: Professional Leadership: A history of impactful leadership in emergency management, marked by innovation, strategic vision, and effectiveness over a number of years. Service to the Community: Demonstrated personal dedication to public safety and preparedness, contributing to increased resilience and protection of local citizens. Commitment to Professional Standards: Achievement of relevant professional certifications (active KCEM) and continued engagement in ongoing learning and development. Outstanding Response Efforts: Exceptional leadership, decision-making, or initiative during one or more disaster responses that went above and beyond expectations. Support the Association: Meaningful service to KEMA or its membership through volunteerism, mentorship, committee work, or other significant contributions that support the organization's mission.
