Award nominations

Each year at the annual KEMA Conference in September, hard working individuals or groups are recognized for their dedication and service in the Emergency Management field.  

The KEMA Board has chosen to present both the 2020 and 2021 awards at the 2021 awards banquet.  Nominations for 2020 ended December 31, 2020.

Online submission forms have been created for 2021.  The links to each form are posted below for the various awards.

The award nomination link specifies the award criteria, who can nominate a prospective recipient, and who determines the award winner/recipient.  Award nominations must be submitted online and must include all the information requested on the form. Please submit at least two (2) pictures, but no more than five (5) of each nominee along with the nomination form.

It is our desire that the selection process be as objective as possible and therefore focused on the elements of the criteria instead of the name or reputation of the nominee.

Each year, the KEMA Board faces many tough decisions that affect each individual or agency. Please help us make the selection process for these awards one of those tough decisions. We can only do that by submitting nominations for individuals or groups that work so hard throughout the year.

Thank you for helping make the awards program a prestigious event that recognizes truly outstanding emergency management professionals.

2021 award nominations for the activity period of August 2020-June 2021 must be submitted online by 5:00 pm on Tuesday, June 15, 2021.
